Para garantir uma leitura confortável e manter em dia a saúde dos olhos, daremos algumas dicas. Confira a seguir:
Distância do livro para leitura: Não importa se a leitura é realizada no tablet ou por meio de um livro impresso. Em ambos os casos é recomendado manter a visão confortável independente da distância. Cada indivíduo possui uma distância confortável diferente (em média é de 30 a 35 cm);
Livro na altura dos olhos: Não é recomendado ler com o objeto acima do eixo dos olhos. Isso mantém os olhos mais abertos e resseca os olhos mais facilmente;
Local apropriado: é sugerido ter um local apropriado para leitura e estudo, onde a postura e iluminação sejam apropriadas e confortáveis. Se possível, opte por não ler na cama ou em movimento;
Iluminação: A iluminação precisa ser confortável, nem muito forte, para não ofuscar os olhos, e nem muito fraca, para não cansá-los. Se estiver em ambiente escuro, também reduza o brilho da tela do aplicativo ou do computador em uso;
Pequenas pausas: Durante o trabalho ou leitura, é preciso realizar pequenas pausas (um a dois minutos a cada uma ou duas horas de leitura). Além de piscar os olhos algumas vezes, é importante olhar para longe para relaxar a musculatura ocular;
Fatores ambientais:ar condicionado sem manutenção adequada, poluição, ambiente com baixa umidade, poeira e ácaros são fatores que podem “cansar” os olhos mais facilmente, independentemente da forma de leitura. Fique atento às condições ambientais;
Bom descanso: boa qualidade e quantidade de sono/descanso promovem melhor rendimento visual e intelectual;
Visite o oftalmologista: Mesmo seguindo todas as dicas, é importante visitar o seu oftalmologista pelo menos uma vez ao ano. A prevenção é sempre o melhor remédio. Pense nisso!
